"When it rain it pours!"
...and that is what you are going to experience in the next few moments of this post!
READY, SET, GO!
Last Friday night we went camping:
What a wonderful idea.
I really did love the whole experience.
For those of you who remember...last Friday it was pouring. super heavy. and it was chilly. but we were not about to let it ruin our plans. We loaded up tents, and tarps, and heavy coats and were off.
We drove up to Payson Canyon and found a wonderful spot!
Unloaded and bundled up!
(p.s. if you ever want to get out of helping set up the tent....pull out your camera!)
Okay...these boys were doing their "man" thing and reading the instructions to set up the tent.
And these ones were doing the "man" thing...building a fire.

Yes, this is inside our 8 man tent. We shoved 10 people into for warmth. :) We are such smart college students!
Our random dog the boys kept feeding...so he kept coming back!
Natascha says: "hey take my picture in front of the fire." this is how well that idea worked out.
after a lovely evening of NO RAIN...i repeat NO RAIN (until we went to bed...but who doesn't enjoy that sound on the tent?) we shared scary stories around the camp fire, laughed a lot...and very loudly, roasted hot dogs and smores, and had a whole bunch of fun we retired to bed for the evening.

Little did we know it would then take us an extra hour to get comfy and to stop talking and laughing.
but we did eventually fall asleep.
.................................
until 5 am when we all magically woke up at the same time...needing to relieve ourselves.
So a few of us girls ventured into the pitch black woods and tiny flashlights.

We then woke up around eight am. ate yummy breakfast. helped clean up. and were off to our showers. (warning....these are unedited morning pictures...so beware.)

What a lovely way to begin a day!!
Also, if you couldn't tell we really did have an amazing time! :)
However, the day didn't end as well as it begun.
As you can see...the day did not end where is had started...
and they only way it was going to end well is if we
went to the creamery and found our 'gram-canyon' ice cream...
BUT
and they didn't even have it there...
so
we bought other ice cream and
ate it straight from the carton.
(the only way to eat ice cream with my ward buddies!)
But all in all last weekend was so awesomely wonderful!:)
