Growing up.

Today i realized two things.

Number one.

I forgot to do day 30 to finish off my month of blogging days of Wonderfu Reminders.

Day 30: A picture of someone you miss.

It has been (almost) 20 long years!

And Number Two:

I am a Grown up. This past year has made me grow up. I am going to be twenty in 8 short months. I am almost not even a teenager anymore.

What made me grow up???

I moved away.

Learned to rely on the Lord.

I had to learn to budget money.

I got a job doing what i love.

I went through some pretty rough times.

I suffered through a death of a friend.

I realized that life is all about being happy. That is all that matters.

Rejection of what i wanted.

I need to do what MAKES ME HAPPY.

I am starting to believe in myself and realize i can really do anything with the help of the lord and the right people in my life, however far away they may be!

As i sat in the car today with Miss Alexa Marie Call

(soon to be Mrs. Zurcher, i know crazy!!!)

it crossed my mind we were doing this just last year

(a little less then a year to be exact, but whatever)

and i felt like a little girl playing a part of a college student.

Now, i actually feel like a sophomore college student.

It really is everything i imagine.

I have no idea what the future holds for this next year but i will be honest.....I have a feeling it is going to be a big one!!! :)

And i can't wait!!

Everything is going to be okay.

I have a big future ahead of me.

and i am ready for it!

it already hasn't turned out the way i thought it would...

but that just gives more room for it to be better then i planned for it to be!!

Day 28: A picture of your nickname.

I was being eve.

So my family put ice down my back....my mom edited it with a frame...neither go together! haha

I just laugh at this.i don't know why.

I taught her that face.

Day 24 - A picture of something you wish you could change.

Starving Children....

and i wish every baby had a (good) family!

Day 25 - A picture of your favorite day.

Honestly there are so many amazing days in my life.

They day i found out i was accepted into BYU's MDT program,

The day i graduated high school/seminary,

The day i got my patriachal blessing,

My baptism day,

and so many, many more.

but there are also more that consist of just being with the whole family on the beach at sunset!

(i know this isn't my WHOLE family...but it is all i have)

Day 26 - A picture of something that means a lot to you.
Of course i would put my family but you have already been introduced to them.
Next i would put some amazing friends who have pulled me through so much but you have seen them too.
I have also done one already about my religion. so that is out too.
I have so much more i could put here but today i am just grateful for my home, and they way we as a family decorate it for every holiday.
or how we got cut down (during thanksgiving break) a big, huge, giant, 20 foot christmas tree every year! What a wonderful thing.
or maybe even how we sing christmas carols before opening our christmas eve presents (to of course hear all of our musical ability in the family, cause we have tons.... or also to remind us what christmas is all about!).
or even the fact that every christmas my family posts this big huge giant star in my front yard...yeah that things. it isn't my favorite but i love traditions!!

I love Christmas time with the family!

this tree behind me is 5x's taller and 3x's wider then what you can see in this picture...

yes i am 5'3" so there is a lot more above my head.

this star is raised on a 50 foot pole above my house...

and then it is 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide.

yeah i know...huge right! haha

...but these things are what makes my family traditions awesome!

Honestly i couldn't just pic one family member so.....here they all are!

How wonderful is my life.

sometimes you don't always get what you want

...but guess what...

sometimes you get better!

 

Life is all about being you and being happy with it!

Making the best of every situation.

being all you can be with what you are given.

and loving life....

That is all we an ask for. and that is all we should ask for.

on another fun note:

:::Last night i went with my mother, father, sister, zoey, and jesse to see

one of the best movies of all time...

(probably my favorite right now...)

 

SO.DANG.DARLING.

okay and really funny too!

They had all seen it.

but it was my first time.

and of course it is at the 2 dollar movie by now.

(that is what stupid college does to you...)

and there were only two other people in the whole theater.

so everytime i laughed...everyone could hear me.

(keep in mind i don't have the most quiet laugh)

but i honestly didn't care it was that cute.

ahhh i love love love love love love it!

my favorite part of the whole movie:::

The go in for a kiss and get stuck here in the fence....

they can't reach each other...

and then gnomeo gets stuck....

he says "i can't go"

she says "i know how you feel."

he says "no really, i can't go. I'm stuck"

(the it shows him just dangling there haha)

then....

a few more words are spoken...she shoves him out and then...

my favorite part....

it pans to show her nanny type person holding her up for her to reach him

 and as juliet is climbing down

the nana(frog) says...

"you know he is going to ditch you when he finds out how much you weight!"

I laughed so hard i cried hahahaha...

and i was pretty much the only one laughing...that i didn't understand.

please go see it and buy it when it comes out.

it is some worth it.

and it is another cute love story.

you know me, i am a sucker for those things.

haha!

on another note...i promise easter things are coming....

I am falling behind i know. but i promise today or tomorrow they will be here..

Guess what i get to do tomorrow...

I get to tag along with my brother and his beautiful bride-to-be at their engagements.

I officially cannot wait.

Maybe i will even take my favorite little guy along and bring you back some sneak peaks!:)

Also.....i filled most my time today with packing/cleaning my apartment.

You never realize how much stuff you have until you try to pack it all up.

I have no idea on earth how i managed to get all this up there.

well actually i do, i filled the whole back of the denali.

Good thing we are not doing that again this year...and i am just moving down the hall!:)

Well This is just happy little me!

Ready for the Winter semester to be over.

Proudly i can now say

 {as it is starting to get warmer, and stay that way}

I MADE IT THROUGH MY FIRST COLLEGE WINTER!

I will admit...there were days i honestly thought i couldn't do it!

I believe that deserves a medal of honor!

Day 13/14!!

I apologize. yesterday we crazy. but guess what....

yesterday. April 13, 2011...was my last day of classes as a freshman at BYU!
AHHHHH! did you think this day would ever come?
Well i surely didn't.
Lets be honest a year and a half ago I didn't even want to go to college and look at me now!
Funny how that works!
It always seems like Gods plan beat yours everytime. lets hope this time in the middle of my trial...his plan prevails one more time.


Instead of blogging twice today i am just going to combine the days in one post. Plan? Plan!

I HATE HATE HATE being late!

it gives me anxiety!

my motivation for just about anything is gone!

zip. Zero.

i don't even know where it went.

it didn't leave slowly.

 i just woke up one day last week and BAM.

it was gone.

and i don't think it is coming back before finals.

so this is what i do during class now days.

in my tiny little note book when i am bored beyond measure.

which is a lot lately.

I was in Book of Mormon...at least something was getting through to me!

Wish me luck for my last two days of college classes

I want to be just like him.

I have never been more grateful for someone who is carrying me through life.

...I pray everyday for help with one of my many problems and he is always there

 to dry my tears and comfort me!

Other news.......

I have been really sick this last week!

I went to the doctor today.

Guess what is wrong with me....

Well he wasn't really sure so what he told me was

"i believe it is a mix of things..and let me tell you why.

at first i thought it was strep throat but because of your fever

i have ruled out that option and now am thinking it could

be a para-influenza that we have been seeing lately.

Also, you have laryngitis."

Well let me tell you what that means...finals are in a week and a half and right now.

 I. Have. No. Voice.

I have to sing for one of my finals and recite lines for two others....

at this point i am a little stressed!!!

hopefully Christ pulls through for me one more time!:)

Let me tell you my cure!

 first of all lots of medicine...i mean lots and lots.

and second...Vocal Rest. do you know what that means?

i am not supposed to talk. at. all.

Does he know who he is talking to???

Me! Miss constantly singing, humming, and talking!!!!

This should be interesting.
